"Why am I...forced to survive?

The cat was looking at her adoption window. She was looking for someone to take care of her. However, the fall makes it difficult for her. You see, she's a black cat, and black cats are stereotyped as witch's familiars. As the pet store was about to close, a man in a white lab coat entered the store with his daughter, who was wearing a purple bracelet underneath her sleeve. The daughter wanted a pet cat, so she looked around until she saw the cat. Taking a liking to her, a cat walks towards her despite the window barricading her from touching the girl. Amused by this, the girl decided to name the cat Xabby and adopt her right away.Xabby has found a happy life; a life that didn't last forever as the girl's father has been experimenting with something to do with dimension travels. So, one day, while the girl was away from home due to being an idol, the father decided to make Xabby his test subject. While being forced to be someone's test subject is no fun, having the animals die during the test is worse. Xabby, unlike other previous animals, has the will to live. Xabby needs to see the girl again, so she can save her. And so, she endured the tests that the father wanted to do.Once Xabby is able to use dimension travel powers, the father is pleased with the results. However, it didn't last long as the daughter came home and saw this horrifying sight. She doesn't want her pet cat to be used in her father's selfish experiment and tries to get rid of the accessory that her father made for Xabby to stabilize the dimension-hopping, out of Xabby's ear.The father was dismayed, so he let her and the cat go. Xabby was glad that the girl recused and felt relieved. But, at the last minute, the father literally stabbed his daughter in the back, causing the daughter to collapse onto the floor.Enraged that Xabby's happy life was taken away not only by the people who refuse to adopt but also by the father who killed a human girl who cares about her, she meows loudly as the head accessory begins to overload, causing the father to be in another dimension against his will. The daughter, despite losing some blood, tries to calm her down by giving her a cool-down hug. However, the head accessory has encountered an error, thus it begins the "changing species protocol" and uses the daughter as a template for Xabby to use. The daughter uses the remaining time of life left by her by telling Xabby what she's been doing. She tells her about being an idol and the cons of it. Despite this, she actually has fun being one and wishes that she didn't have to die soon. Xabby, despite the consent meowing, promises that she'll become an idol on the girl's behalf. While the girl is happy by this, she leaves out her final breath as the changing species protocol has finished and proceeds to do the final touches on Xabby. While the protocol is finished, it encounters some errors, such as mistaking the wire as a cat's tail. But, for the most part, Xabby is now a human. At first, it was a bit hard for her to stand up normally, but she managed to do it. As she wondered what to do with the girl, she noticed her purple bracelet. Not wanting to forget about her, she puts her bracelet on her robotic cat tail. Her head accessory begins to light up and change her appearance to the girl that died, albeit with cat ears and a tail. Thinking that everyone in this world will know that Xabby is just mimicking the girl, she uses her ability to go somewhere else. An ability she didn't want nor ask.
